The Pier & the Shore · 5 of 12
After dark, black and cream.
A single curling ocean wave rendered as concentric black-and-cream stripes forming a spiral barrel. Monochrome op-art.
A few miles off Lake Worth Beach, the Gulf Stream moves north faster than anything on land, carrying tropical strays. Never visible from shore, it is discussed daily by pier fishermen, the fishing depending on it. The wave honors it in contrast and repetition, no color.
